1979 Japanese Stereo Without Obi. Recorded In 1962 And Featuring Sonny Clark, Butch Warren And Art Taylor. The album was recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey in 1962. The music on the album is a blend of hard bop and post-bop, with McLean's saxophone leading the way through a series of complex and dynamic arrangements.
"Tippin' The Scales" was well-received by critics and is considered one of McLean's best albums. It has been reissued several times over the years, including a remastered edition in 2005, and remains a popular and influential album in the jazz canon.
