1978 Japan Pressing With No Obi. "Destination... Out!", released in 1963 on the Blue Note label, is considered a classic of the 1960s. McLean was an important figure in post-bop jazz and had already recorded several albums for Blue Note before releasing "Destination... Out!" The album features McLean on alto saxophone, along with Grachan Moncur III on trombone, Bobby Hutcherson on vibraphone, Larry Ridley on bass, and Roy Haynes on drums. The album was recorded in two sessions in November and December 1963 and was recorded By Rudy Van Gelder. It features four original compositions by McLean and Moncur.
