Released By MGM Subsidiary Venture Records; A 1960s Label From Los Angeles, California, Headed Up By William Stevenson Who Found Fame With Motown In The Early 60's, Leading Their A&R Department During The Labels Golden Period Of The Mid 1960's. The Labels Team Also Included Clarence Avant, Who Subsequently Went On To Found The Famous Sussex Label And Later Tabu Records, Which Became The Breeding Ground For Producers Such As Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Where They Were Able To Hone Their Production Craft Prior To Establishing One Of That Period Greatest Musical Relationships With Janet Jackson.
