The Wild Tchoupitoulas is an album that is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential recordings in the history of New Orleans music. This album was recorded by the Wild Tchoupitoulas, a group of Mardi Gras Indians who were led by George "Big Chief Jolly" Landry. The album was produced by Allen Toussaint and released in 1976.
The Wild Tchoupitoulas features a unique blend of traditional Mardi Gras Indian chants and contemporary funk and soul music.
