2008 Repress. The Replacements was an American rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1979. The band members were Paul Westerberg (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Mars (drums), Bob Stinson (guitar), and Tommy Stinson (bass). The band gained a cult following in the 1980s, known for their raucous live shows and irreverent attitude.

The album was produced by Jim Dickinson and features guest appearances from Alex Chilton and John Cale.

The album features some of the band's most popular songs, including "Alex Chilton," "Can't Hardly Wait," and "The Ledge." The album's cover art features a photograph of the band members in front of a mural in Memphis, Tennessee.
