Jane's Addiction
The Album Was Recorded In Los Angeles With Producer Dave Jerden And Released On Warner Bros. Records. It Received Critical Acclaim And Is Considered One Of The Defining Albums Of The Alternative Rock Genre. The Album Features Hits Such As "Jane Says" And "Mountain Song."
The Album Cover Also Caused Controversy Due To Its Explicit Imagery, Featuring Nude Sculptures Of Two Women With Their Hair On Fire. The Cover Was Deemed Too Explicit By Some Retailers And Was Initially Censored. However, The Band Insisted That The Original Artwork Be Used For The Album.
Despite The Controversy, "Nothing's Shocking" Was A Commercial Success And Helped To Establish Jane's Addiction As A Major Force In The Alternative Rock Scene. The Band Went On To Release Several More Albums Before Disbanding In 1991. However, They Reunited In 1997 And Have Since Released Several More Albums And Continue To Tour.
