On May 1, 2016, The Band Released The Lead Single "Burn The Witch" Accompanied By A Stop-motion Animated Music Video Directed By Chris Hopewell. The Second Single, "Daydreaming," Was Released With A Music Video Directed By Paul Thomas Anderson.
The Album Received Critical Acclaim, With Many Praising The Band's Return To More Traditional Song Structures And Instrumentation. The Album Also Features A String Section Arranged By Jonny Greenwood, Who Has Worked On Various Film Scores In Addition To His Work With Radiohead.
Moon Shaped Pool Was Supported By A World Tour, Which Included A Controversial Concert In Tel Aviv, Israel That Drew Criticism From Some Fans And Activists Who Called For The Band To Boycott The Country Due To Its Treatment Of Palestinians. Despite The Controversy, The Album And Tour Were Both Commercially Successful, With Moon Shaped Pool Debuting At Number One On The Uk Albums Chart And Number Three On The Us Billboard 200 Chart.
