Sealed Original. Jake Porter Was A Veteran Trumpeter Based In Los Angeles Who Had Been Around Since The Mid-'40s. Even Though His Basic Style Was Dixieland-Oriented, He Was Flexible Enough To Play Early Rhythm & Blues And, On This Obscure LP, Original Latin Jazz. Utilizing Such Players As Saxophonist Jackie Kelso (Often Heard Here On Clarinet), Valve Trombonist Bob Enevoldsen, And A Four-Piece Rhythm Section, Porter Performs A Dozen Originals That Have Something To Do With Baja And The Latin Scene In Los Angeles. An Interesting And Very Obscure Set (The Listed Date Is Only An Estimate), Including A Few Melodies That Deserved To Catch On.
