2013 180gm HQ 25th Anniversary Reissue With Inner Sleeve. Recorded at Ardent Studios, Memphis, Tennessee. Mixed at Bearsville Studios, New York. Mastered at Masterdisk, NYC. The album marked a significant change in R.E.M.'s sound, as it was their first album to be produced by Scott Litt, who helped the band achieve a more polished and commercial sound.

"Green" was a commercial success, reaching No. 12 on the US Billboard 200 chart and No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. It was also certified double platinum in the US and gold in the UK.

The album was praised by critics for its catchy melodies, socially conscious lyrics, and polished production. It is often considered one of R.E.M.'s best albums and a landmark in their career.
