Fragile Songs In Lukewarm Dreams
Sealed 1999 Original. Snuffy Smile Serve Up Another Ace With This Little Gem Which Isn't, As The Title Might Suggest, Some Sort Of Emo Album. This Is Japanese Punk-Rock At Its Finest And I Really Mean That. Snuffy Smile Have A Habit Of Putting Out Consistently Good Bands But To Be Honest There Is Only One Band That Springs To Mind As Being Totally Excellent - And That Was Blew (Now Sadly Defunct). Well, I'm Pleased To Say That Yoichi Has Finally Found The Band And Released The Album To Rival Blew And Their Album, 'You're Not The Only One' Because The Urchin Fucking Rock. 15 Songs On Here Of The Melodic Punk-Rock Variety And With A Definite Dillinger 4 Influence Running Through Out. Of Course The Characteristic Vocals That Are Synonymous With Japanese (Or At Least Snuffy Smile) Punk-Rock Are Still Very Much Part Of The Plan. Except This Time Around They Are Coupled With Some Great Lyrics Ranging From The Political To The Personal - Even If The Language Barrier Does Produce The Odd Hiccup Or Two. And Just Check Out Song Titles Like 'Another Three Cheers For Japanese Capitalistic Regulation Troops' And 'Dead Fascist Lives In Our Weak Brain'. You Just Know You're Gonna Love An Album With Song Titles Like That.” – Ian Cavelle, Collective-Zine
