Linda Ronstadt With Nelson Riddle And His Orchestra
The collaboration between Ronstadt and Riddle began in 1983, when Riddle conducted the orchestra for Ronstadt's Grammy-winning album "What's New." The success of that album led to a follow-up collaboration, "Lush Life," which was also a critical and commercial success.
"For Sentimental Reasons" was the final album in the Ronstadt-Riddle collaboration, as Riddle passed away in 1985. The album received positive reviews and reached No. 46 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance.
The album remains a beloved favorite among Ronstadt fans, and is considered a highlight of her career. Its success helped to revive interest in classic American popular music, and inspired other artists to explore the genre as well.
