Elephant Mountain is a 1969 album by American rock band the Youngbloods. The album features a mix of folk rock, psychedelia, and bluesy rock, and is considered one of the band's best efforts. The opening track, "Darkness, Darkness," is a haunting and emotional ballad that has been covered by numerous artists over the years. "Ride the Wind" is another standout track, with its infectious melody and bluesy guitar riffs. "Smug" is a more upbeat and playful song that showcases the band's folk rock roots, while "On Sir Francis Drake" is a trippy and experimental tune that features some impressive jamming and improvisation.
