Arthur Lee Harper
Harper was a relatively unknown artist who had been playing the Los Angeles music scene in the mid-1960s. He caught the attention of producer Lee Hazelwood, who signed him to his new label and helped him record his debut album.
"Dreams and Images" is a psychedelic folk album that features Harper's intricate fingerpicking guitar style and introspective lyrics. The album received some critical acclaim upon its release, but failed to make an impact commercially.
Despite the lack of commercial success, "Dreams and Images" has become a cult classic and has been reissued several times over the years. Harper went on to release a few more albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but never achieved mainstream success. He passed away in 2007.
