David Hemmings Happens
1967 US Stereo Original. Clean Cut Out Hole. A Fab Slab Of US Acid-Folk / Eastern Vibes / Raga / Byrds Influenced Music Featuring Accompaniment By The Byrds On Many If Not All The Tracks. The Opening Track Is "Back Street Mirror", A Gene Clark Song That Was Written And Recorded Subsequent To His Departure From The Group. However, It Was Never Released And David Hemmings Recorded His Vocals Over The Existing Backing Track. This Is Really Something To Thank David Hemmings For, Otherwise This Gene Clark Song Would Have Remained Unreleased ! A Lot Of The Tunes Are Improvised Both By The Musicians And Hemmings Who Raps Along With Beatnik Coolness To McGuinn's Jangling Raga Influenced 12 String. There's Even Some Groovy Tablas Jamming Away. A Must Listen For All Byrds Fans, Psych Addicts And Lovers Of Great Music.
