Archaeology Of The Infinite (Archaeolgy)
Sealed 1995 Original, Small Cut Corner. The Rare Follow-Up To Their Great Debut Album. "Led By Former Front Man For The Zip Code Rapists, Three Doctors Were Resurrected For An Afternoon, In Which They Recorded The Album “Archaeology Of The Infinite”. Having Not Played Together For A Year, The Concept Was To Make An Entirely Improvised Album, With No Warm-Up And Very Little Discussion. The Band Walked Into The Studio, Turned The Tape On, And Played Straight Through For 90 Minutes, Improvising The Songs With Only A Couple Of Minor Overdubs. The Resulting Album Had A Completely Different Sound That The Old Doctors’ Material-It Was Stumbling, Eerie, Psychedelia, Influenced Heavily By Ash Ra Temple, Krautrock In General, And Tim Buckley’s “Lorca” Album. The Lyrics Came From A 1980 Incident In Which A Deranged Phoenix Man Held A Newscaster Hostage On-Air, Forcing Him To Read From A Schizophrenic Text Detailing A Futuristic World In Which Country-Music Stars Like Lacy J. Dalton Were Prophets Who Presided Over Homosexual Cities." Three Doctors Web Site.
